In a surprising partnership that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine sect.

The questline concentrates on "strange trials and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's latest complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery."
